The Art Show is an opportunity specifically for the students in the University of Central Florida School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD) MFA program. This exhibition provides participating artists with the opportunity to explore their practice beyond the studio and question the conventions of exhibition-making. Through public engagement, including an artist talk and a playful awards ceremony, the show creates a space where critique, evaluation, and interpretation are both visible and flexible.
Selected artists gain firsthand experience working within institutional frameworks, collaborating with gallery staff, and navigating both the logistical and conceptual demands of a professionally mounted exhibition. The program is designed to foster professional development, encourage artists to think beyond their individual studio practices, and increase visibility within the Central Florida arts community. By blending thoughtful reflection with humor and experimentation, THE ART SHOW transforms the exhibition itself into a participatory, pedagogical experience that highlights the creative and conceptual growth of emerging artists.

Casselberry Arts & Culture is now accepting submissions for our upcoming Annual Exhibition, INFINITE, which will be displayed inside City Hall.
Artists are invited to consider how identity, history, spirituality, and futurity converge beyond linear narratives.
INFINITE seeks to illuminate the Black experience in contemporary America through an exploration of the infinite as a temporal and existential framework—one that stretches endlessly in all directions, without origin or conclusion. Within this boundless continuum, the exhibition asks: How do we exist in an undefined space? What connects us across time and experience? How do we locate grounding, meaning, and selfhood when traditional markers dissolve?
African American artists and artists of the African Diaspora are encouraged to apply.
Submission deadline: February 8, 2026

Casselberry Sculpture House Presents
“Homebodies”
New Works by UCF MFA Emerging Media Candidates- Kaitlin Kirsch and Lenee Peterson
Opening Reception: Saturday, January 10, 2026 · 6–9 PM
The Casselberry Sculpture House is proud to present Homebodies, a new two-person exhibition by Kaitlin Kirsch and Lenee Peterson, current third-year candidates in the University of Central Florida’s MFA in Emerging Media, Studio Art & Design Track. The exhibition opens with a public reception on Saturday, January 10 from 6–9 PM, offering audiences an early entry point into the artists’ emerging thesis research ahead of their formal MFA thesis defense in 2026.
Working across painting, sculpture, embroidery, mixed media, poetry, and film, Kirsch and Peterson each explore the emotional terrain of domestic life—its memories, tensions, hauntings, and the personal mythologies that grow from home. Their practices intersect through themes of family dynamics, childhood, innocence, nostalgia, and the psychological imprint of place, while diverging into distinct visual worlds.

The Casselberry Arts Center is proud to announce the opening of Unreality of the Present, a new group exhibition curated by Teddy Duncan Jr., on view from December 12, 2025 through March 27, 2026. The opening reception will be held on Friday, December 12 from 6–9 PM.
Drawing its conceptual framework from contemporary critic Dean Kissick’s writing on the “unreality” of our cultural moment, Unreality of the Present brings together four artists—Motherseth, Zayd Latib, Adam Lavigne, and Sara Akbari—whose work embraces ambiguity, intuition, and the mysterious. Rather than presenting art as an instrument for messaging or political clarity, the exhibition celebrates work that resists definition and refuses to collapse into a singular narrative.
