Thumb Coast Ultra & Relay

One of our favorite parts of Thumb Coast is seeing the running community spend time together.

Runners make new friends on the way to Caseville. Families and friends cheering from the side of the road. Relay vans leapfrogging each other all day. Sitting in camp chairs waiting for your runner. Gas station stops. Volunteers and crews taking care of people they've never met before.

By the end of the day everybody’s tired, dusty, a little sticky, and eating a burger and at Thumb Brewery together.

We're heading into year four and we're enjoying the community and tradition that's building around this race.

When registration opens for the next year, we love seeing who immediately decides to come back for another round.

A bunch of relay teams are already returning for year four together:

Just for Kicks 4.0 is back with Nikki, Evelyn, Melisa, and Carol.
Kidds and Co is back with Mary Lou and Joseph.
1forrest1 is back with Jim and Cody.
Herd Hustlers is back with Jodi, Ashley, and Alex.

Mike Parker’s coming back for his fourth Thumb Coast, too. After doing the relay twice and the 50K this year, he’s stepping up to the 50 Mile in 2027.

And Janice Rumph and Jaimie Knickerbocker are both returning to take on the 50 Miler for the fourth straight year.

That’s one of the coolest parts of this race to us.

Some people find a relay team and make it part of their spring every year. Some people keep coming back to the same distance because they love the day. Some people eventually decide it’s time to see what the next distance feels like.

Thank you for making Thumb Coast part of your running tradition.

Our other Trivium Racing race in the Thumb, Rock CF Thumb Coast Marathon, Half, & 5K, is just under six months away!
