With 120 acres of rolling pastures, hiking trails, and streams, it is the perfect setting for your retreat or event. Is your office staff, church group, or Board of Directors looking for a way to team build, develop leadership skills, and grow together? Bent Creek Retreats are designed to fit your group’s unique needs. Retreats can be geared toward teambuilding, collaboration, and overcoming chall

enges. They can also focus on mindfulness, reflection, and connectedness. We offer single or multi-day retreats to accommodate the specific needs and budget of your group. The following activities can be offered during your retreat:
-Hiking
-River canoeing or kayaking
-Horseback riding on beautiful trails
-Quiet walks
-Journaling by ponds, on trails in the woods, or in a rocking chair overlooking the river
-Facilitated outdoor teambuilding exercises
-Guided discussion and conversation by fire pits

Learning to appreciate solitude has been a part of my journey. A morning hike, some prayer time by the river, and a little treehouse yoga restored my soul a little bit today. The river is up and muddy because of the storm. It reminded me of my faith. It seems the world has been a muddy mess for a while now and I'm often left with more questions than answers. I've had several conversations recently about wrestling with my faith. Unfortunately in many of today's versions of Christianity, folks are chastised or judged for having uncertainties and struggling with questions. I truly believe that when we wrestle with our faith, we are actively pursuing God. I think this pleases God. God blesses those who truly seek with all of their heart. Today, I encourage you to find a quiet place, ask the big questions, and see how God speaks to you.
