Blackbox Foundation BlackBox Foundation is a nonprofit corporation in Casa Grande, Arizona approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission.

Creative performing arts have been an emerging development for several years in our rural community. Our mission is cultivate a sustainable and vital community theatre and creative arts scene. Our goal is to continue and improve the efforts most recently made by BlackBox Theatre by obtaining our 501c3 status which will allow funding through grants and local donors.

these activities happen in particular rural or community settings.”

Calling all playwrights! BlackBox Foundation is now accepting submissions for our 2026 10-Minute Play Contest.
Playwrights of all ages are invited to submit an original, unpublished script of approximately 10 minutes in length. Selected finalists will have their work fully staged and presented as part of a live performance event on August 22, 2026.
Submissions are due July 12, 2026. Full guidelines and entry information can be found on the flyer below.
