The most nontraditional gravel race you'll do. May 15th, 2027 Carson City, Nevada. And then we cheer our good fortune.

Inspired by Peter Stetina, we're setting off on 2 wheels to discover forgotten lands that have never been ridden, in search of cycling's true treasure. This will be a gravel race with themed aid stations and a few bonus surprises along the way.

60 juniors. SIXTY!!! 🤯🔥

And if this year proved anything, it’s that the future of this sport is in unbelievably good hands.

The energy these kids brought to Paydirt was unmatched.
The smiles. The stoke. The willingness to jump in and be part of something bigger than themselves.

Shoutout to our charitable partner, and all the junior riders from Northern Nevada, North Tahoe, South Tahoe, and anywhere else who came out not only to race, but to help make this event happen.

The riders who didn’t pin on numbers stepped up to man aid stations, cheer riders on, hand out snacks, and become an essential part of the Paydirt experience.
That kind of community spirit matters.

Watching this next generation ride hard, work hard, and show up for each other was one of the best parts of the entire weekend. ❤️

P.S. Our youngest riders (outside of the Family MTB route) were 11 & 12 years old…
we’re seriously mind-blown over here!

It takes a whole lotta people to bring Paydirt to life.

And one thing we’ve always believed in out here is that partnerships should feel like more than logos slapped on a banner. We call it “Bucking the Trend.”

It’s about creating experiences that riders actually remember.

🍻 A new tradition began this year with our Shakeout Ride from in the heart of Carson City. Riders rolled into town, spun the legs out, shared a beer, and kicked off the weekend exactly the way it should begin.

🌭 once again turned the Genoa Aid Station into an absolute oasis with Hot Dogs & Affogatos waiting for riders before the final push into the high desert.
A true rider favorite.

📸 After years of scheming, Vista finally became reality in 2026. A welcomed detour, a breathtaking view, and the kind of photo memory riders won’t forget anytime soon.

🍺 And perched high above it all sat the Summit Cheers. That magical moment where tired riders cracked a cold one together, swapped stories from the trail, and soaked in the beauty of the Eastern Sierra.

These activations, these moments, these memories… they don’t happen without partners who believe in what Paydirt is trying to be.

So today, we want to give our flowers to every partner, sponsor, and exhibitor who helped make this weekend feel so special ❤️

We’ve never really fit neatly into the “normal gravel race” box…
and honestly, we like it that way 🤠

This event only works because all of you fully lean into the weirdness, the timed segments, the long aid station hangs, the hot dogs, the regrouping, the racing, and all the little moments in between.

It’s pretty surreal seeing this little high desert idea of ours shared on a world stage.

What started as a different way to experience gravel in Northern Nevada has grown into something that riders from all over the world now circle on their calendars before heading to Unbound.

This year’s edition brought stacked elite racing, razor-thin time gaps, dusty Pine Nut chaos, silver bars, hot dogs, and one heck of a week in Carson City.

But more than anything, it brought people together.

Huge thanks to Jackie Tyson and for taking the time to tell the story of Paydirt 2026.

2026 brought some changes.

Changes that were welcomed with open arms by all of you.

This year we introduced a revamped course start, a brand-new timed segment, Escape from Prison Hill, and a Family MTB Route that let even more folks experience the magic of riding out here.

We also doubled down on something that matters deeply to us:
removing barriers to entry for junior riders and racers.

On paper, these might seem like little things.

But out here, little things add up. They shape experiences.
They create community. They make folks feel welcome.
And this year, you could feel the difference everywhere.

When dreamed this thing up years ago, this is exactly what he hoped it would become.

A celebration of people.

A gathering place for the cycling community and the Northern Nevada community alike.

A place to uplift the next generation of riders, explore the
Pine Nuts together, and share one hell of a day on the bike.

Paydirt has always been about so much more than the racing that happens between timing mats… although that racing is as world-class as it comes.

It’s about YOU. All of you.

To every rider, every family member, every volunteer, every partner, and to Carson City itself… thank you for showing up and making this weekend what it was.

We’ve got a lot more to say about this one.

But for now, we’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Custom bottles from have officially landed.

And somehow, they managed to make bottles that look this good while being made mostly from plants instead of petroleum.

How rad is THAT?!

Big fans of companies doing things differently and doing them well!

The future of water bottles is here and we’re stoked to be part of it.

Can’t wait for y’all to get these in your hands!
