Got a kid who’s always making up stories, characters, or entire worlds? 🎭 Put that imagination to work at The Cat!

Our Fall Semester of Devised Theatre lets students create the show themselves, turning their own ideas into scenes through improv, movement, storytelling, and a whole lot of creativity.

Never been in a production before? Even better! No experience is needed, just a willingness to jump in, meet new people, and try something new. 🧡

Kim found her way into the theatre world in 2017 when her daughter began performing at The Point Theater, one of our resident companies, and she’s been part of the theatre community ever since. Now, she helps keep things running behind the scenes at The Cat while getting a front-row seat to one of her favorite things: watching productions come to life on stage. 🎬

Carmel Apprentice Theatre recently held evaluations for its fall production of Once Upon a Mattress, and this cast is already having a royally good time! 🎭✨

Evaluations allow everyone the chance to show us their talents, share what they’d love to do in the production, and help us start imagining how all the pieces will fall into place.

They’re also one of our first chances to come together as a cast! Between cheering each other on, sharing plenty of laughs, and supporting every person who steps up to perform, evaluations give us a glimpse of the camaraderie that makes putting on a show so much fun. 🧡
