Sarah Rodriguez
February 13, 1973 - December 8, 2021
Sarah Rodriguez, 48, gained her wings on Wednesday December 8th, 2021, in Carlsbad New Mexico. Sarah was born February 13th, 1973, in Carlsbad New Mexico to Corina Castro.

Visitation will be 4 PM - 6 PM, Monday, December 13, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will take place following the visitation and services will be held at a later date.

She attended Carlsbad High School where she participated in basketball, volleyball, and track. After graduating in 1991 she then spent most of her life as a homemaker.
Those left behind to celebrate her life are two beloved daughters: Kirstie and Sami Jo Rodriguez, her mother Corina Castro; grandsons Kyson and Sawyer; her fur baby Penny and grand fur babies Benji and Brody; sisters: Sandra Carrasco (Michael Sr.), Ruby Hernandez (Jeff), Amy Castro and brother Ruben Castro Sr.; nieces: Chasity, Destiny, Desarey, Emily, Kaitlin, and Cadence; nephews: Michael Jr., Eric, Ruben Jr., and Jason; great nieces: Nevaeh, Aria, Nova, and Aubree; great nephews Nico, Noah, and Jameson; Tio Raul Navarrette, Tia Rosalia, and numerous cousins and friends.
Sarah was a beautiful wild free spirit who never passed judgement and accepted everyone as is. She had a very strong, loving and forgiving soul who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She always had a smile and positive attitude no matter what kind of day she was having. She was always there for family or friends and would always be willing to offer a helping hand when you needed it. She was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers Fan regardless the outcome of the game. Sarah was loved by so many, and she will be truly missed.

Hey there class of 1991! Can you believe that next year we will be out of school for 30 years!? So hard to believe. I’ve been getting several messages inquiring about our 30 year class reunion. My last baby graduates high school next year and leaves for school in June right after graduation. With that being said I do not mind helping with the reunion but I don’t think I will be able to completely head it up this time. I am thinking if we have enough good help we can get it pulled off very easily. Possibly maybe around Fourth of July weekend I’m thinking. Please let me know if you would be willing to help, what you could do and where you live at now.

I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your name to mine? If this petition gets 100,000 signatures by September 04, 2013, the White House will review it and respond!

We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of issues. If a petition gets enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.

You can view and sign the petition here:

Here's some more information about this petition:

Look into the actions taken by the NM Human Services Dept in cutting funding from 15 providers without due process.

Our constitution guarantees us the right to presumed innocence until proven guilty. If we follow the thinking of New Mexico's Health and Human Services Department they can presume guilt while showing absolutely no evidence to anyone. If this is allowed to stand any provider of healthcare is at risk. We cannot allow our constitution to be ignored.
