Pass the Peace 5K

Pass the Peace 5K The 4th annual Pass the Peace 5K run/walk will be held Sunday April 17, 2016 at 2 pm. This year we wi John Lutheran Church Youth Group. John Lutheran Church.

Entry Fee / Proceeds:
The $20 registration fee includes a t-shirt for anyone who registers before April 1, 2016. Registrations received after April 1st or on race day remains $20 but t-shirts will be based on availability. The entry fee is non refundable with all proceeds benefiting the St. Course Description: The 5-kilometer (3.1 mile) course starts and finishes at St. John Lutheran Church (Windf

all). The course is flat and fast as it takes you on a run through the Marion County countryside. Awards:
Awards will be presented to the top two overall male and female finishers. The top two males and females in each age group will also receive awards. Age Groups: 14 and Under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55 and over. Registration / Parking / Check-In
Race Day Registration, and Check-In for Online Registrants will be at shelter house on the west side of St. Registration tables will open at 12:30. Plenty of parking is available at the church. Online Registration:

Forecast for race day is looking GREAT! Come join us the afternoon of Sunday April 17th! It's not too late! We will be taking registrations on race day but shirts will be handed out on a first come first serve basis that afternoon. Sign up today to reserve your shirt!

Congratulations to our overall champions Amy Jordan and Roberto Oswald. Amy ran the race in 24:48 while Roberto posted a winning time of 18:06.

Allison Johnson finished 2nd overall on the ladies side with Josh Queener placing 2nd in the men's race.

Age group champions included: Selia Shipman, Mason White, Jessica Shook, Sage Brannon, Kristyn Richardson, Mike Queener, Dusty Smith, Joey Maniaci, Angie Smith, Gena Hayman, Kay Geckle, and Dwayne Adkins. Congratulations and a big thanks to all our winners and participants!

We were blessed with a gorgeous day and so thankful to everyone who participated in any way! Special thanks to Blast Fitness, McGinnis Farms, The Marion Fitness Club, Buckeye Fitness and Training, K & L Electric, Jodi Mulvaine, Rhonda Nemeth for the wonderful donations for our raffle. Also thanks to The Embordery Warehouse for our awesome shirts and to Dean and Ann Bollinger for the generous donation of our awards. All of the teamwork makes for great success! Words cannot express our gratitude! Already looking forward to next year!

Did you know that every person who registers for Pass the Peace 5k is given 3 raffle tickets to win FABULOUS prizes? Here are just a few that will be awarded tomorrow morning with even MORE being delivered today! It's not to late to sign up! Registration begins at 8:30 Saturday May 30th. Race starts at 10 with the children's fun run beginning at 11. Spectators and runners alike may purchase raffle tickets to increase your odds of winning! $1 each or $5 for 6 tickets! Come support our youth!
