What a day! First graders at Pond Cove Elementary in Cape Elizabeth got a real treat: a book read by Founder and Cape Elizabeth Schools alum, Joan Benoit Samuelson! And, that’s not all, Pond Cove is now an official recipient of Dirigo Reads’ monthly book program. Joining the more than 100 schools statewide.📚

🌊To celebrate, Joanie read “Down to the Sea with Mr. Magee,” by Maine author Chris Van Dusen. Each child received a signed copy of the book!

is the sole beneficiary of this year’s race and will receive $30,000 from the event’s title sponsor TD. 💚

The Race begins in Cape Elizabeth near Crescent Beach State Park on Route 77. The road conditions are flat or a slight downhill slant. The racers will proceed north and then bear right onto Old Ocean House Road, a narrow road that will rejoin Route 77.
