Meet the Artists of Canton Art on Main 2026 ! 🎨

We’re excited to welcome back Randy & Joy Turner of Larkfield Glass to this year’s Art on Main Fine Arts Festival!

Artists: Randy & Joy Turner Larkfield Glass
Medium: Glassblowing / Hot Glass Sculpture
Location: Paris, IL

Randy & Joy are glass artists who have been creating work together for more than 30 years. Their journey began with Randy’s early passion for glassblowing, eventually leading them to establish Larkfield Glass in rural Illinois on Joy’s family farm.

In their studio, Randy creates vibrant, free-flowing glasswork inspired by the movement of molten glass, color, and light. From paperweights and ornaments to bowls, vases, sea-life forms, and large statement pieces, his work reflects both technical skill and creative exploration. Joy has grown alongside the studio, moving from assistant to apprentice and helping bring each piece to life.

Their signature style is defined by variety, always experimenting with new colors, shapes, and ideas, while continuing to explore both controlled techniques and more fluid, Chihuly-inspired forms.

The Turners exhibit at art festivals across the region and are also known for their live glassblowing demonstrations and installations, including public works displayed in Paris, Illinois.

We’re thrilled to have them return to Art on Main!

Meet the Artists of Canton Art on Main: Greytulipstudios

We’re excited to welcome Lesley Thielke of GreyTulipStudio to this year’s Art on Main Fine Arts Festival!

Artist: Lesley Thielke
Medium: Mixed Media
Location: Dunlap, IL

Lesley is a mixed media artist with a background in fine art and marketing, having double-majored in college while continuing to explore new techniques and creative approaches throughout her career.

Her work is deeply inspired by texture and color, and she creates expressive paintings designed to be experienced not only visually, but almost physically through their rich surface qualities. Lesley works exclusively with a palette knife, a choice shaped by both artistic vision and personal challenges, including vision impairment and tremors that make traditional brushwork difficult.

This technique has become central to her style, resulting in bold, highly textured paintings that invite viewers to engage more closely with the surface and emotion of each piece.

We’re excited to have Lesley join us in Canton this year! Art on Main 2026

Meet the Artists of Canton Art on Main 2026

Artist: Pauline Swanson
Medium: Painting
Location: Yates City, Illinois

Pauline’s art journey began at just six years old, when her brother drew a simple cartoon for her that sparked a lifelong love of drawing. That early inspiration carried through high school, where she studied oil and acrylic painting, and continued as she built her life raising four sons and helping on the family farm.

Over the years, Pauline continued to develop her skills through practice, self-teaching, and occasional formal classes — including watercolor studies while completing her Associate of Science degree at Black Hawk College. Much of her growth has come through dedication, art books, and decades of hands-on experience.

Now retired, Pauline devotes her time fully to painting, continually exploring new ideas and creative directions. Her work reflects a lifelong passion for art that has been nurtured through persistence, curiosity, and love of the craft.
