We're celebrating 46 years of great music, good people, and the beautiful oak woods of Newton Hills State Park.

This year's headliners are Michael Daves & Jacob Jolliff, a Grammy-nominated flatpicker paired with a National Mandolin Champion. Saturday night under the stars is going to be something special.

It's that time of the year, campsite are filling up fast for Folk Fest weekend. Only 50 or so spots left! You would need to book Tuesday July 28-August 2nd if you booked today. If you waited till tomorrow you could reserve Wednesday July 29-August 2nd and so on. See you all at the Festival!!

This is a hard one to write, one of your founders Gaynor Johnson has passed on. Thank you for the memories and for your devotion to folk music in South Dakota.

Festival date announcement:
We're very excited to announce that the 2026 Sioux River Folk Festival will be held on the weekend of 7/31 to 8/2! We're in the finishing touches of completing our lineup, and we can't wait to share it with you!! Without giving up too much, this lineup is truly going to be the best lineup we've ever put together and you will be blown away! Share with your friends, and make your plans to attend now!

Humbletown has been regulars at our festival for years. Please make sure you support these fine humans on their endeavor to make a new album! They are playing in Sioux Falls this Thursday 1/22 at The Den (used to be the Buffalo Wild Wings near the Premier Center). We LOVE Humbletown!!
