To improve safety and crowd management at this year’s Liberty Fest, the carnival area will be fully fenced with two entrances. Guests must show a wristband, mega band, or ride ticket to enter. Parents or guardians accompanying a minor do not need a band unless they plan to ride. Bag checks will occur only at carnival entry points, with clear bags allowing for quicker screening. Canton Township is grateful for all the Canton Liberty Fest sponsors that have made this year’s festival a reality. Back by popular demand, this year’s Liberty Fest will feature a Classic and Contemporary Car Show! The highly anticipated Car Show, which is coordinated by the Rotary Club of Canton, will be held on Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This special automotive showcase will award trophies to Best in Show and Best in Class for classic, custom, and contemporary categories. Those interested in taking part can register online for $30 per vehicle by June 6, at https://bit.ly/carshow26. Onsite registration will be $35. All participants will receive a commemorative dash plaque and a goody bag.

The Countdown to Liberty Fest 2026 Has Begun! Canton Township's 33rd Annual Liberty Fest will be held on June 18, 19, and 20, in Heritage Park, located behind 1150 S. Canton Center Road in Canton, Michigan and is presented by Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. New this year, the festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. In addition, Canton’s community fireworks will be held later in the summer as part of the “America 250” celebration.

Canton is pleased to announce the launch of a new Transportation Safety Action Plan; a comprehensive initiative aimed at eliminating traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries on our local roadways.

To ensure the plan reflects the needs of our community, there will be extensive public engagement starting with an online survey to provide direct feedback on your daily commute and safety concerns. Visit www.cantonmi.gov/1531 to take the survey by February 28, view the project timeline, and stay up to date on future engagement opportunities.

This project is made possible through a Safe Streets for All grant awarded to the Township by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Using these federal funds, Canton is working to identify specific streets and intersections that have the greatest need for safety improvements. The final plan will not only establish clear goals for reducing traffic incidents, but it will also develop design concepts to transform the highest-priority locations into safer spaces for everyone. The goal is to ensure that everyone, whether traveling on foot, on wheels, or in cars, is safe and secure while moving through Canton.

Saturday’s entertainment kicks off with Canton’s Annual International Festival at the Schoolcraft College LIVE! Stage! Join us from 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. for a celebration of diversity as a variety of cultures from around the world will be showcased. Day Three of Canton Liberty Fest 2025 starts early this morning with the Liberty Run’s 5K at 8 a.m., 10K at 8:30 a.m., and the 1-Mile Fun Run at 10 a.m. There’s still time to register race morning until 15 minutes before the start of your race.

Afterward, head over to the north end of the park to the Canton Lions Club Charity Pancake Breakfast, which will be served from 8-11 a.m. (or until sold out) at the north pavilions. Fees are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

The final day of the Liberty Fest Carnival Zone will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today. Single-day wristbands will be available for purchase on-site (cash only) for $40. All sales are final.

The LeafFilter Gutter Marketplace will feature a variety of local artisans, crafters, and businesses around the amphitheater starting at 10 a.m.

Rounding out Day #3 includes the International Festival kicking off at 11:30 a.m. at the Schoolcraft College LIVE! Stage and a special Juneteenth Community Celebration starting at 5 p.m. at the Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt Amphitheater Stage! For more information, call 734/394-5360 or visit www.cantonlibertyfest.org.
