We are SO sorry to announce that tonight's Holiday Lightshow will be CANCELLED due to the rainy, cold and windy temps tonight and the lack of volunteers, which we need to keep everyone safe.

But tomorrow night (12-15) promises to be warmer and dry so come out to see the lightshow tomorrow night! Again, we do apologize. Stay safe and warm, y'all!

It’s about that time. We have been working hard behind the scenes all year and would love to make this a success for the community. Please consider helping out

Chippy and Fergie are SOOOOOO excited about the Holiday Lightshow returning this year! More info to come, but they need some volunteers to help put some new light displays together. No skills neccessary. You will be shown what to do. We meet at the First Christian Church located at 215 E. Elm in Canton. Enter on the west side of the building (off the parking lot) and follow the signs. Call the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce office to let us know you are coming so we know what we can get done. 309-647-2677.

The Holiday Lightshow is truly a community event because it takes MANY volunteers to pull it all together. In fact if you are involved in an organization or a business that would like to sign up a team of 8 to 10 volunteers to help direct traffic and sell tickets during one of the lightshows (or more than one night) in November or December, please contact the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce again at 309-647-2677 or email [email protected].

Without volunteers, there will be no lightshows! Sign up today and get your first pick! We would love to have you and your business or organization involved.

A very special Holiday Lightshow will be happening tonight, December 28th beginning at 5:30 pm. PINK FLOYD NIGHT! Ticket gate will open around 5:15 pm for the first lightshow at 5:30 pm. Ticket gate will close at 7:45 for last show at 8 pm.

The Canton Area Chamber of Commerce Holiday Lightshow will be CANCELLING the lightshows scheduled on December 22nd, 23rd and 25th due to predicted severe cold weather. We are just as disappointed as you are but we want to keep all of our volunteers (and spectators) safe so we have chosen to not be open.

But the good news is, we do plan to have lightshows on Wed, December 28th (special Pink Floyd night), Thurs, December 29th, and Friday, December 30th. Ticket gates open at 5:15 for the first show at 5:30 pm.

Currently we do not have any volunteers signed up for December 31st (which would be the last lightshow of the year) so we will keep you posted on that night. If you have a group that would be interested in volunteering please contact the Canton Chamber office at 309-647-2677.

It’s shaping up to be a great show. Please help make it successful

The Holiday Light Show is coming soon with the first show on Saturday, November 26th! We are getting excited and we hope you are too!

We are currently looking for volunteers to help out during the lightshow nights. Show times are 5:30 to 9:30 or 10:00 pm depending on the night. You can sign up to cover the whole night or do shifts. We need 10 to 12 volunteers per night.

If you are a nonprofit, you could earn your organization some money! At the end of the run (Dec 31) we will give a certain percentage (TBD) back to all the nonprofit organizations that volunteer. The more hours you volunteer, the more money you could get back for your club.

Businesses are welcomed to volunteer during the lightshows and get your business promoted throughout the night and recognized for volunteering your time. If you don't have enough to cover the shifts, we can team you up with others.

Chippy and Firgie the Trees are looking forward to seeing you!

So many cute suggestions have already entered. We are getting so excited to show off all we have been working on 🎄

IT'S CONTEST TIME!! As you know the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce is working with the Lindsey Light Show to bring this amazing light show to everyone on a larger scale at the Big Creek Park starting November 26th and run through December 31. More details to come, but for now.....we need your help!

Most of you know who Chippy the Tree is from the Lindsey Light show from 2020. When you tuned into the radio station to listen to the show, Chippy the Tree told jokes and talked to you throughout the light show. Well this year, we are introducing Chippy's wife as a new addition but...…we need a FIRST NAME for her!

CONTEST: Submit a name that we could use for Chippy's wife and if your suggested name is chosen, you could win $50 in Chamber Checks! The contest will run today, October 10th through Friday, October 14th. All names submitted need to be family friendly and the Holiday Light Show committee will be the ones choosing the final name. Announcement will be made Friday afternoon. Let the naming begin!
