Pachyderm Recording Studio The Midwest premier residential studio. Pachyderm Recording Studio has been home to many local and national bands over the years.

John Kuker purchased the studio in 2011 and spent 4 years renovating the home and studio to its former glory. At its' peak, Pachyderm was home to bands such as Nirvana, Soul Asylum, Jayhawks, Trampled by Turtles, and many many more. Extensive rennovations have been completed to the studio and grounds. We invite anyone who would like to record there to contact us via email [email protected]

John passed away in 2015, just before the big unveiling of all of his hard work of this studio. John's family now owns and operates the studio with help from John's longtime friend Nick Tveitbakk, who is the Studio Manager.

The land Pachyderm was built on was untouched by the Ice Age. The ancient magic the land holds is palpable when you’re here, and we hope it leads to some wonderful inspiration!

Not only do we find the music being created inside our studio inspiring, but the sounds of the Pine Creek make a pretty great soundtrack during breaks in your session.
