Estey, Resident lighting designer and technical director has been with RCB for 20 years and comes from a background in professional Broadway Summer Stock. He served his apprenticeship forty-four years ago and has designed more than 400 productions. Gordon is lighting designer for all RCB productions and his work has been seen at the Eastman and Auditorium Theatres in Rochester, at the Callahan The

atre, Nazareth College Arts Center in Pittsford, at the Gould and Schimmel Center Theatres in NYC and many regional theatres throughout New York State. He has received critical acclaim for his lighting and scenic work for many RCB productions. Estey has studied with designers such as Jules Fisher, Peggy Eisenhauer, Mike Baldassari, Wendell Harrington, Beverly Emmons and Richard Pilbrow. Estey has designed for RCB the Scenery for The Blood Countess, Peter and the Wolf, Carmen, and co-designed the Nutcracker. Estey is retired as theatre manager and technical director for the Academy Theatre in Canandaigua. Gordon serves as technical director and designs all scenery and lighting for the Academy Players. Works as technical director and stage manager for Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Educational Programs and performances at the Auditorium Theatre in Rochester. Estey has established and runs an apprenticeship program with RCB for high school students giving them the opportunity to work professionally backstage learning all aspects of technical theatre for dance. Many apprentices have become members of the RCB production staff and running crews. Estey serves as lighting director for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. Gordon owns Estey-Struble Theatrical in Canandaigua, NY. Established over 40 years ago. The company specializes in lighting and scenic design. Technical direction, stage management, lighting and stage equipment rentals.

Working on this little gem. Fort Hill Performing Arts Center, Canandaigua. Old Canandaigua Academy Theatre built in 1928. Closed in 1992. Balcony filled in 1976, reopened the other day. We are on our way!

Looking forward to another great season with Rochester City Ballet. Working with a very talented company and staff and this is my 20th. year with the company! All new children's production of the story ballet "The Ugly Duckling" fun for both children and adults alike!

Had a wonderful time with the RPO Holiday Pops 2015. So happy to work with such a great bunch of people! Here are some photos from this year's show. Great working with Harold and Amy and the Festival High School Chorale as well as the Orchestra and Jeff, and the outstanding production team led by David and Dierdre.
