Apologies for the late post as we have been busy! As of 4/1 Rodeo Run is back under the direct management of myself, the owner of the facility.
The health and safety of the horses now under my care has and will continue to be the top priority. We have been under strict quarantine with biosecurity measures in place while working closely with our vet to develop the best course of action to move forward.
We are fully committed to handling the situation at hand with diligence and transparency. As of today, we are 25 days fever and symptom free. We are taking every necessary step to ensure the well being of the horses on the property as well as the well being of others. My personal horses have been affected with one spending a week at OSU so the severity of this outbreak is tangible.
We appreciate the patience, understanding and support during this transition and a personal thank you to the boarders that have worked through this process with us. Please reach out to me personally with questions or concerns. At this time, we remain closed to haul in’s, events or clinics. I will not be addressing comments on this page as barn life is busy at the moment and my focus is on maintaining happy and healthy horses.

Facts on the Strangles post circulating all over facebook 5 weeks late:
Horse A - went to OSU for end of January for respiratory problems, assumed positive for strangles until test back. Was then isolated, negative test came back week of Feb 8.
Horse B - went to OSU week of Feb 8 for colic, tested for strangles, negative PCR, positive culture, no symptoms.
Isolated and in self care.
Negative Culture Feb 25
Horse C- colic symptoms week of Feb 8 through week of Feb 15. Tested week of Feb 15, PCR negative, towards end of week cultured and positive.
This horse has been isolated since colic symptoms & in self care with other family horse since positive culture.
Horse D- assumed positive, tested Feb 25, positive. Isolated & in full care by one individual. Has been retested for negative but not back yet.

As of Feb 14, Raynelle & Mallorie have been taking temperatures & bleaching daily, all staff was laid off for nearly 3 weeks to limit hands on.

All horses are symptom free, this is not the start of a strangles outbreak, we are well into the end of this.

Show arena and show stalls are not a risk
No shows have been held since January 10.
