ps that had a place for friends to sign their names. That settled the love of quilting in my heart and spirit at the young age of seven. I realized a few years ago that this would be a perfect area for quilting retreats, but we didn’t have a quilt shop within 100 miles. Although I know firsthand that quilters will drive much farther than that for fabric and supplies, I saw the perfect opportunity to do what I have always wanted to do, start my own quilt shop! So Suzie Q Quilts was born and is located right here in the little community of Camp Wood, Texas, population 700! Now I have that place that I have wanted for such a long time for gals to come and sew, share, relax and enjoy! Valley Ranch Retreat & Event Center. It is a beautiful place on 8 or so acres of land a couple of miles out of town. A great place for Christian retreats and girlfriend getaways! Whitetail and Axis deer, antelope and other wildlife roam around on the property. It is a very peaceful place to be. So my prayers have been answered and my dreams have come true! Thanks to my precious sweet husband and this scripture. Now unto Him Who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or think (or even imagine!) according to the power that is at work within us …………………Ephesians 3:20 (paraphrased)
One way I know when the Lord is doing something is that He always does more than we expect, ask or can even imagine. He has provided me with wonderful help for every area of the retreat center and the quilt shop. Great gals that go the extra mile to make everything just right and comfortable and cozy for everyone!
