This morning was the final head piece in our 20th year of the series! We were lucky the weather tapered off over Fri night and we got a bit wet but conditions were otherwise pretty reasonable. We had 101 boats on the course and we saw some very promising results heading into the “big” weekend.

Results for today and for the series can be found at links below.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered, brought food and donated prizes.

Overall winners for the series were decided today. The series is scored best 2 of 3 and only RBC members can win. 77 boats completed at least two of the pieces (188 diff boats raced at least once!) and 15 ended up averaging over 95 points for 2 pieces.

This year the overall top 1x finisher was three time repeat women’s champ Catherine Widgery (WV1x-2, 99.4 pts avg). Top men’s finisher 1x was Mike Farry (won also in 2014, MM1x, 97.1 pts). Second place finishers were Ilana Zieff (WClub1x, 97 pts) and Casey Howshall (LWL1x, 95.2 pts).
Congrats to both our winners.

It has been a fantastic 20 years, with so many people helping out to keep it small-ish, organized-ish and relevant / useful / fun.

Good luck to everyone next weekend!

Kevin
