🌟 We’re excited to announce one of our panels for : “Recovery and Reconstruction: Post-War Dynamics in Syria” featuring Raed Al Saleh, moderated by Hussein M. Hachem.

In this conversation, we engage with Syria’s Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management to examine the role of the transitional government in shaping the country’s path forward. The discussion will explore strategies for early recovery, long-term reconstruction, and the complex process of transitional justice after more than 14 years of conflict and devastation.

Key questions include: What concrete plans are in place to facilitate the return of refugees, dismantle displacement camps, and restore stability across the country? How is the government approaching transitional justice, and what explains the absence of accountability for many of the crimes committed during the conflict?

The dialogue will also confront deeper political questions: Does the current government genuinely reflect the aspirations of the revolution, or does it represent a broader set of internal and external power dynamics? And ultimately, can the outcome in Syria today be understood as a realization of the revolution’s goals, or as a reflection of competing regional and international interests?
