This year, we invite all our friends to participate in either the Live event, from the Mount St Dominic Academy campus, or the Virtual MSDA Meghan Doyle '05K. This will be the ninth year for the event, and we hope to have our most successful year ever, with runners (and walkers) across the country. Registration opens on Wednesday, March 1, and prices will increase on April 1, so be the Early Bird

If you have participated in the past, why not ask a friend to run with you this year?! Better yet, bring the kids! The MSDA .05K is open to all runners from age 2-10. The Fun Run kicks off the day at 9:00 am, with the in-person '05K race at 9:30 am. There will be cash awards for the top male and female overall ('05K), as well as age awards. For those who can't join us on May 6, we hope you will run in our 4th Virtual MSDA Meghan Doyle 05K. You can participate any time between May 5-9, 2023. The proceeds from both events support the Financial Assistance Program at The Mount. Meghan Doyle was a 2005 graduate of Mount St. Dominic Academy. At the Mount, Meghan lived life to the fullest and did her best to make sure others did as well. Her firm convictions and determination flourished at Fairfield University in Connecticut, and among her co-workers at Charitybuzz, a company that helps non-profit and charities raise money through on-line auctions.

Run for Meghan at the Virtual MSDA Meghan Doyle ’05K Run/Walk, anytime from Friday, May 1 through Tuesday, May 5, 2020!

MSDA Meghan Doyle '05K - Virtual in 2020! The community of Mount St. Dominic Academy sends our love, support and prayers to all of our friends, families and runners at this challenging time. In order to protect our community and adhere to the CDC’s social distancing and stay home guidelines, the MSDA Meghan Doyle ‘05k scheduled for May 2, 2020, is now a completely virtual race. Making the switch to a virtual race will enable our extended Mount community to participate from the safety of their own homes (think treadmill), yards (lots of laps) or local neighborhood sidewalks and streets (maintaining safe distances, of course), while continuing to support this important cause. This is an exciting and innovative way for us to host the event and carry on its mission, while protecting our friends, neighbors and extended running community. The Virtual MSDA Meghan Doyle '05K - How Does It Work? You can "run" the Virtual MSDA Meghan Doyle '05K anytime between Saturday morning, May 2, and midnight on Sunday, May 5, in the location of your choice, at your convenience*. Plan your favorite route, whether it may be around the park, neighborhood, back yard, or on your treadmill. When you register for the race, you will be assigned a bib number. You will have the option to print out your bib for the Virtual MSDA Meghan Doyle ‘05K which can be worn during your race (for your photo ops). We hope you will share your photos with us on social media using the #MSDA05K. When you are ready to go, just pin your bib to your shirt, get out there and run, jog, or walk those 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). We recommend you plan your course in advance to verify the distance, and keep track of your time while running the race. Once you have completed your course, have rehydrated, maybe had a bagel, and patted yourself on the back for a job well done, text, email or upload your time to the Virtual MSDA Meghan Doyle '05K results page. Instructions will be sent to you prior to race day. Trust us, this is the easy part! We hope you will enjoy this innovative way to continue to support the students Mount St. Dominic Academy!Please join us for the Meghan Doyle ’05K benefiting the tuition assistance program at Mount St. Dominic Academy, in memory of Mount Alumna, Meghan Doyle ’05, whose vivacious personality and infectious smile brought joy to so many during her all too brief time with us.

The proceeds from the MSDA Meghan Doyle '05K go toward the Financial Assistance Program at The Mount. Since 2015, generous donations and participation have raised more than $105,000 to benefit a scholarship in Meghan’s memory, to afford young women the opportunity to receive a Mount education.

At the Mount, Meghan lived life to the fullest and did her best to make sure others did as well. Her firm convictions and determination flourished at Fairfield University in Connecticut, and among her co-workers at Charitybuzz, a company that helps non-profit and charities raise money through on-line auctions. Always goal-oriented, she had set 2013 as the year in which she would become more involved with the Mount community, and run a 5K. This race honors those goals, as we ask the community to “Run For Meghan!”
