My horse community rant, read at your own risk. It takes less energy to pray for someone than to publicly tear them down. Right now facebook has become a format for grown adults to indirectly try to run or ruin someone else's life and/or reputation. I have read so many posts that are meant to destroy instead of encourage in regards to this crisis in the horse community. It appears that there are some that have just been "chomping at the bit" for the opportunity to publicly injure others and second guess every hard decision that has been made and NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, it is deemed wrong. Why? Well, usually when a person sets out to defame another person publicly, there is an element of jealousy involved and other times it reflects a need for attention as an attempt to fill a hole in one's self. It is not a mature way to handle differences. God has given us guidelines on how to resolve differences and believe me, facebook passive/aggressive commentaries are not it. If you have a problem with someone then address it in private first after prayer. Don't get on facebook and try to recruit others to join your social media lynch mob. I cannot even begin to understand the hard decisions being made or having to have a horse put down. Why make a difficult situation worse instead of embracing this as a God given opportunity to say "I am praying for you, how can I help". Did we not learn anything about shaming others during covid? After thousands of years, man still has not learned the single one commandment that could change our entire world if practiced by everyone. Love others. (John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”) This has become beyond ridiculous and people are watching, including children. In case you need the reminder, here are 100 verses regarding slander.
