During the Minnesota State Fair this year, fairgoers could stop by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture exhibit to write thank-you notes and affirming messages to Minnesota farmers on postcards designed by the department.

Dozens of people took the time to write thank-you messages to the hardworking men and women who produce our food, fuel, and fiber. Those postcards have since been mailed to farmers around Minnesota. Today, on National Farmer's Day, we present a sampling of those postcards below.

A sincere thank-you to our family corn farmers for all that they do.

Last week's executive order allows farmers to exceed exceed regular weight limits by up to 10 percent on state and local highways. (Exceeding truck weight limits by 10 percent requires an update to vehicle registration for total weight.)

ICYMI: The Minnesota Corn Growers Association has a new president today! Todd Wentzel begins his yearlong term as president of MCGA. A multi-generation family farmer from Murdock, Todd farms with wife, Shari, brother Craig, and sister-in-law Bonnie, raising dry edible beans, spring wheat, corn and soybeans.

Minnesota Corn congratulates Todd on the new role! We also thank 2025-26 President Wes Beck for his ongoing contributions to the organization.

This past summer, Minnesota Corn was a proud sponsor of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, which brought about 3,000 athletes to the Twin Cities for the weeklong competition. On Tuesday, 2026 Games Chief Development Officer Kevin Quiring dropped off a framed medal to commemorate our partnership.
