And what a ride it’s been! Looking back, never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that I would be here. Quitting my job as a teacher to raise babies and pursue a pipe dream was one of the craziest decisions I’ve ever made. I was terrified. But God. Our very first market brought torrential rain, 50mph winds, inches of water, upturned tents, and lightening—and every promoter’s worst nightmares. True baptism by fire. I questioned every decision I ever made. Shows followed, more bad weather, (what felt like) more trials than victories, but God. Because inbetween the trials, people showed up, vendors grew into friends, trust was forged, community came together, and dreams were built. Isn’t that what it’s really about after all? Thank you for showing up, for loving on our vendors, for supporting this dream, and for voting us best festival. What an honor it is! To all of you that have made The Road Trip Market possible over the past 5 years, your unwavering support is never lost on me. ❤️ Erica
