Hello everyone!

Unfortunately mother nature is not cooperating, and just dumped a lot of snow on top of trails that were already pretty saturated/muddy. As most experienced trail runners know, running on muddy trails creates damage, and honestly isn't enjoyable anyway. (Definitely not the race experience my race staff and I are looking to provide for you all.) The town of Castle Rock has also closed the trails to the general public, so at this point we aren't left with much of a decision, and will NOT be racing this Saturday, and will be postponing Rock Hawk to a future date.

I'm working on possible options and at this point we tentatively have an opening for Saturday, May 8, but that's not 100% sure yet (lots of moving pieces). If that date doesn't work then I'll keep working with the city to find a viable option. Normally we wouldn't have this much of an issue with securing a makeup date, however coming on the heels of the lockdowns, options are very limited due to other activities and events. I will update everyone as soon as possible so you can plan ahead and adjust your training, and will also put a plan in place for those of you who are unable to attend the new date.

Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all on the trails in a few weeks, hopefully!
