Discover stunning specimens, rough and slabs, dinosaur bone, handmade jewelry, demonstrations, and so much more. Try your hand at gold panning with the Gold Prospectors of Colorado, or soar high on the Eurobungy ride! Come visit us at the Buena Vista Rodeo Grounds on Gregg Drive, just one mile southwest of dowtown Buena Vista, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm — with free parking and free admission. Don’t miss it!

Colorado’s largest outdoor gem and mineral show with over 100 vendors!

Get ready for four unforgettable days of treasure hunting, hands-on fun, and scenic mountain charm at the Buena Vista Rodeo Grounds from August 7th through 10th.

This exciting family-friendly event runs Thursday through Sunday, 9 to 6 daily, just a mile southwest of downtown Buena Vista, off Highway 24 at the Rodeo Grounds — with the breathtaking Mt. Princeton as your backdrop.

🤩 New This Year: Gold Rush Days Joins the Fun! 🤩

For the first time ever, the Buena Vista Contin-Tail Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show and Buena Vista Gold Rush Days join forces at one location, making this a can’t-miss celebration of history, geology, shopping, and good old-fashioned mountain-town fun.

Something for Everyone!

• Gold Panning with the Pros – Try your luck with real gold panning, led by the experienced folks from Gold Prospectors of Colorado (Saturday & Sunday).

• Dig Pit for Kids – Budding geologists can dig for crystals and minerals to take home.

• Scavenger Hunt Adventure – Pick up a fun specimen bag and a map from the Dig Pit booth, explore the show, meet awesome vendors, and claim your prize! (Thursday & Friday).

• Face Painting Booth – transform into something magical, wild, or adventurous—let your imagination lead the way!

• Live Demonstrations – See skilled artisans in action as they showcase lapidary work, sphere making, glass blowing, and crafting acrylic specimen stands.

• Food Court & Beer Garden – Hosted by the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by High Country Bank, featuring local food trucks and refreshing drinks.

• Camp at the Show! - Want to stay close to the action? A limited number of dry camping spaces for RVs and tents are available at unbeatable prices. Reserve your spot online or on-site — but hurry, space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. All campers must register at check-in to receive a permit.

• Furry Friends Welcome - Well-behaved pets are welcome with a responsible owner. Please leash your dog at all times and pick up after them so everyone can enjoy the event safely.

Admission is FREE. Parking is FREE. The experience — absolutely priceless!
