Good morning Solvang Century Veterans,
After 30+ years, SCOR will pass the reigns for The Solvang Century to endurance cycling promoters, Planet Ultra.
We're excited to announce the resurgence event - with a likely launch date of Saturday, March 5, 2022.
As you know, due to Covid, many cycling events are gone forever; and those still around are compelled to modify operations to comply with permitting and other requirements for health and safety. Mass events in small towns such as Solvang and Buellton may be a relic of the past, with more intimate, niche events being just what the doctor ordered. Planet Ultra's Solvang Century re-boot will focus on the pure joy of cycling, with the traditional century and metric century routes and wonderful on-course support; but likely without the pre and post ride expos, which tend to lead to large gatherings.
We know many of you who love this event are anxious to ride again in and around Solvang and the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley.

With enough interest and support, The Solvang Century will thrive again, under new management. Planet Ultra has been hosting endurance cycling events since 2001. Specializing in niche endurance events in small towns with outstanding scenery, their focus is pure cycling, for the avid cyclist.
