Calling all artists, crafters and creatives looking to play, chat and share in a safe space! Join artists Jill and Syd McCutcheon as they form an artists' colony. Feel free to bring a small, non-messy project (no oils or acrylics) to work on. No experience needed! Second Saturday of every month from 10 AM-12 PM in Room A at the Buellton Rec Center. Next meeting is this this Saturday, Sept. 12!

Brand new "Activities for Homeschoolers" Program!

Our Homeschool Enrichment Program offers a welcoming community hub where homeschoolers can connect, learn, and have fun together. Designed for students from elementary through high school, the program features affordable field trips, seasonal parties and social events that let kids build friendships outside the classroom, and a rotating selection of classes covering everything from art and music to fitness and life skills. Hoping to add much more in the Spring based on interest!

Our Zone After-School Program for 6-8th graders starts on Monday, August 17th! Students are welcome to come for FREE on the first day (1:30-5:30 PM) to check it out and to enjoy some free snacks!

Buellton Rec is thrilled to be partnering with the highly respected Adderley Theatre School to bring high quality theatre training for kids to the Valley! There will be an open house this Saturday, August 15th at Buellton Rec from 2-4 PM to learn more about the program!

Adderley Youth Theatre Workshop-Ages 5-7
Fridays from September 11-December 11
4-5 PM at Buellton Rec in Room B
Musical: Moana
Cost: $585 (or can be broken into 3 installments: $200 at registration, $192.50 due Oct 11, $192.50 due on Nov 11)

Mark your calendars for Friday, August 14th, 5–7 PM at Buellton Recreation's Free Family Fun Night. It’s a free, fun evening with snacks, gym games, crafts and activities in Room A, and the Zone open for air hockey, pool, and foosball. Children must be accompanied by an adult!

Reagan Library and America's 250th Anniversary Exhibit Trip
Wednesday, August 19
8:30 AM-4:00 PM

Wednesday, Aug 19, 8:30-4pm, $50 includes transportation and admission, lunch on your own. Meet at Buellton Rec Center. In 2026, the United States will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, first adopted in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776. This exhibit honors the nation’s founding principles of liberty and self-government.

Mark your calendar for August 28th, starting at 6pm to enjoy a summer night movie under the stars with ET at Riverview Park!

The movie screening and event is totally free so come enjoy the movie, picnic, and spend time with your friends and neighbors.
You can pre-purchase a dinner with the QR code through the onsite food truck available to the first 250 people. Please note the food truck will not be able to take transactions at the event so you must purchase your meal ahead of time if interested. SYV Community outreach will be there selling concessions as well!

The Solvang Cinema and SYV Community outreach are making this event happen in partnership with the City of the Buellton
