WV State BBQ Championship with professional BBQ teams from across the US competing for $15,000 in prize money and a chance to represent WV at the Jack Daniels Worldwide Invitational BBQ Tournament. Friday evening SCA sanctioned Steak Contest. Lots of family activities, Cornhole Tournament, Dime Toss, "More than Just a Cake Walk", etc. for all ages, inflatable games, unique artists and crafters, Beer Garden, and much more.

Exciting to welcome yet another NEW team to our event ... Pitmaster Hoyt Rorrer is bringing his LittleDoodle BBQ Team to town from Chillicothe, Ohio ready to do battle with some seriously tough BBQ competitors from several states.

Happy to welcome Hoyt and his team to this year's BBQ Bash, and wish him good smokin' luck!

Come check out all these championship teams from 12 states who'll be set up in several areas in/around the Jawbone Park area - just follow your nose for that sweet smoky aroma!

You'll want to come hungry and enjoy some delicious BBQ and other great foods from our 16 food vendors (8 new this year) offering a great variety of foods, drinks, desserts, and more. There's also a nice mix of unique artists and crafters selling handmade items (no third party, order from the internet products) with something for everyone. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy live entertainment Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings beginning a 6 PM with DJ Salty Dog playing tunes during the day.

Head to Jawbone Park in downtown Buckhannon, WV the weekend of June 18-20 - event opens Thursday from 4 - 8 PM / Friday and Saturday from 11 AM - 8 PM. FREE admission, FREE parking, and lots of FREE activities for kids and the whole family!

Landau's Kids Joy Toy Drive ... reminder to please consider bringing an unwrapped toy or gift for kids aged 2 - 17 yrs. old to donate to Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. following his FREE show Saturday evening, June 20th in Jawbone Park in downtown Buckhannon, WV.

If you bring an unwrapped toy (under $20 please), Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., his wife Peyton and their merry elves will wrap, label, and personally deliver these special gifts to children in pediatric units, WV Children's Home Society, NECCO, and other areas for children in need. Bring your gifts anytime during the weekend of the BBQ Bash, or to any of Landau's other shows in coming months, so they can bring smiles to even more kids in West Virginia.

Lots of CASH, custom-created awards, an AUTOMATIC entry into the Jack Daniels World Invitational and the American Royal BBQ Championship, and some serious bragging rights! Time's running out, but you can still donate some new or used LEGO sets or individual pieces to be cleaned and recycled for use at this year's BBQ Bash. We greatly appreciate the many donations received so far, but could use more (and yes, we're also buying some), so if you have any sitting around in a closet, attic, garage, etc. that you'd like out of your way, we'd be DELIGHTED to have them to share with area youngsters to build their own creation to take home.

If possible, PLEASE drop your LEGO pieces to any of the following locations BY THIS FRIDAY so we can clean and sanitize used bricks:

We are indeed blessed to host several BBQ teams (33 currently from 12 states, with a couple pending) who've won multiple awards, championships, KCBS Hall of Fame members, KCBS Team of the Year Champions, and more ... truly world-class teams!

One of our NEW teams this year certainly checks several of those boxes including ... 2025 Grand Champion of the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational (91 teams), 2026 Houston Livestock Chicken Champion (250 teams), and most recently, the 2026 Grand Champion of the KCBS World Invitational Wells Cup (117 teams)!

Happy to welcome Pitmaster Ryan King bringing his "King's BBQ" team from Jacksonville, FL to roll some smoke at this year's BBQ Bash. This is shaping up to be one RED HOT BBQ Contest, and King's BBQ just added some heat to an already packed field of amazing BBQ competitors!

Even more NEW teams to our event ... Pitmaster Curt Wallace will be flying to Buckhannon from Edmond, OK representing his "Smoked and Furious" BBQ Team. A fellow BBQ pitmaster will be loaning him some equipment to use during the event ... that's what the BBQ family is all about! Look forward to welcoming Curt to this year's BBQ Bash to compete against some of the BEST of the BEST BBQ teams out there.

Love our returning BBQ teams who've been with us for years, but also enjoy welcoming teams that have never been here for the first time, and we're blessed to have several NEW teams to our event for 2026. One of those, Chessie Que BBQ, is heading to this year's BBQ Bash from Gainesville, VA to compete among some of the best teams out there, and we're happy to welcome him to Buckhannon.

Although the competing teams can't sell their food, they're always happy to say hello on Friday or "after" the judging is completed around 2-2:30 PM on Saturday.

Excited to welcome back a great BBQ team who's earned the WV Grand Champion title at our event the past 2 years, and he's heading back to try for a triple! Pitmaster John Shirey II is bringing his Chunky BBQ Team from Harrisburg, PA to defend his WV title against a seriously tough group of BBQ competitors from across the US. Good Luck to John and all the great teams coming to compete in a couple weeks!

We'll post a full list of teams, food vendors, and other details in the coming days as things are still falling into place. Come enjoy delicious foods, fun, and lots of FREE activities for kids and families to enjoy, including a LEGO building contest, Kids Cake Decorating contest, FREE Sand Art, FREE LEGO build & take area, WV National Guard Gaming Station (Saturday only), Ohio School of Falconry shows, live entertainment, and more.
