WHY WE CELEBRATE: Cinco de Mayo is observed every year to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. The event is observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican-American culture. The day gained popularity during the 1980s and has continued to be a favorite day of festivities every year.

Did you know you can purchase Brownwood Cinco de Mayo Celebration Wine Garden ticket from us at the Visitor Center?

Today, we're open until 4PM and tickets are $25. After 5pm, tickets will increase to $35. The wine garden will feature 6 different wineries from across Texas. Your ticket includes 2 tastings from each winery and a wine cup.

Plan to join us in Downtown Brownwood during the Cinco De Mayo Celebration tomorrow beginning at 5:30pm. This event is Free and open to the public. Tickets are only needed for the Wine Garden.

We added something new for you to experience at this year’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration. The Wine Garden - presented by Visit Brownwood, Texas and Visit Early Texas -Early Visitors & Events Center! 🍷🍇

Located by the Brown County Museum of History, The Wine Garden will feature a selection of wines from 6 different wineries from across Texas!
