Before social media, before streaming, before playlists on a phone… there were dance halls like this. 🎶❤️

On weekends across South Texas, families piled into cars and headed to local halls where conjunto, Tejano, and Chicano music brought entire communities together. Young couples met on these dance floors. Lifelong friendships were formed between songs. Some people even met the person they would eventually marry while an accordion echoed through the room.

These halls were more than places to dance. They were gathering places where culture, music, family, and community stayed alive generation after generation.
