Since the release of her groundbreaking 1993 debut, Liz Phair has built a career around unfiltered songwriting and a sound that helped reshape indie rock in the ’90s. Decades later and those songs still hit just as hard.

Now, she’s bringing them to the Bandshell alongside Sleater-Kinney and Frankie Cosmos for the final concert of our season.

This year’s lineup pushes jazz as a collective experience, as regions to move through and music to dance to: Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, the boundary-pushing trumpet of Takuya Kuroda (Takuya Kuroda), and the fearless musicianship of Braxton Cook (Braxton Cook), Mohini Dey (Mohini Dey), Marcus Gilmore (Marcus Gilmore), Tyreek McDole (tyreek mcdole), Melvis Santa (Melvis Santa), Salin (Salin (สลิล)), Laura Anglade (Laura Anglade), and Sparklmami (sparklmami) ✨

Three Words: DE LO MIO! 🇩🇴💥

In a city filled with summer parties, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso and BRIC teamed up for a magical night of Dominican music that had everyone dancing, onstage and off.

Big thanks to Dj Mega Jay, Chris G, Aris J Ortega, La Insuperable, and Teodoro Reyes for bringing such artistry and energy to the Lena Horne Bandshell. The night ended and no one wanted to go home - a true party.

BRIC came all the way live when we partnered with The Action Lab to present Common, Ana Tijoux, Caridad De La Luz, Adi Oasis, Lemon Andersen, and Christopher Cali Torrez to honor the enduring legacy of social justice icon Harry Belafonte. The energy and love was off the charts.

Special shout-out to NYC Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams Jumane Williams, Evergreen Initiative Director Jesus Gonzalez, and The Action Lab Managing Director Tina Habib for gracing the event with remarks that lifted up this night of culture, music, and social impact.

Big thanks to everyone onstage, backstage, and throughout the park for making this night so special. Thank you Mr. Belafonte for your life’s work. We continue forward up the path you cleared.

A 5,000+ dance party for Dominican Night at the Bandshell 🇩🇴✨

Our last free show of the summer went out in style 🕶️Aris J Ortega and his crew turned up the heat, La Insuperable brought that signature swagger, and bachata legend Teodoro Reyes sent us dancing all the way home.
