Artful Dodgers Poetry, founded at the historic Montauk Club constructed in 1891 in Brownstone Brooklyn employing elements of two Venetian palazzos, hosts monthly open mic readings, several of them in person each year and all of them accessible online. sure styled in 1889 after a Venetian palazzo. A schedule of upcoming events will be posted on Artful Dodgers Poetry's page and also on the page of Harvey Soss, the series' curator. The Montauk Club is located at 25 8th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn, just around the corner from the Grand Army Plaza 2/3 subway stop and an easy walk from the 7th Avenue Q/B and F stations (8th Avenue exit at the latter). The mission of Artful Dodgers Poetry is to bring the best poetry available in NYC and beyond to as wide an audience as possible, bridging generations, in a setting remarkable in its own right for its unique, and likely never again to be duplicated, aesthetics.

If you haven't already done so, there's still time to join ARTFUL DODGERS POETRY at our Post-Labor Day/Caribbean Festival HYBRID POETRY OPEN MIC on Saturday, September 20th, from 2-4:30 (New York time). Costumes optional. Attend in person simply by walking in the door and taking the elevator down one floor to Brooklyn Heights Public Library's event space at 286 Cadman Plaza West in Downtown Brooklyn, easily accessible by the 2, 3, 4, 5, and R subway trains to Boro Hall or Clark Street or via the F and Q trains.
