Happy New Year to all of our Magical People ✨

2026 ushers in our fifth year of co-creating Calling All Magical People Festival — and honestly, we can hardly believe it 😱🤯🥹

New Year’s will always live at the heart of this community. It’s where it all began eight years ago — a handful of friends choosing to welcome a new year with more meaning, more care, and a lot more magic.

2025 felt like hitting a long-built collective stride.
Looking left and right, watching creativity erupt from cabin crevices, outrageous offerings everywhere you turned, cheeky characters and radiating rituals multiplying by the dozens, the culture truly taking on a life of its own far beyond any one vision.

We’re so proud of how far we’ve come.

Here’s to how far we can go — together.

Taking some inspiration from 2025 being the Year of the Snake we’re reflecting on a work of art from CAMP2025 that embodied exactly what this community makes possible.

**MEDUSA**, created by our beloved (whose quiet creative genius has shaped CAMP for years, from Inner Space ‘23 and ‘24, to being the sourcing sorceress behind countless materials scattered around every corner of CAMP), was more than an installation — it was a living, breathing collaboration that allowed Amanda to step into more than only fabricator but instigator of an entire production. Rooted in the symbolism of the snake as renewal, intuition, and cyclical rebirth, MEDUSA reimagined the serpent not as a curse, but as a crown.

Brought to life through sculpture, projection mapping, sound, and performance, the piece offered space for reflection, connection, and sisterhood — and reminded us what can happen when artists are supported to follow a personal spark all the way through.

Deep thanks to the collaborators who helped this vision slither into being alongside Amanda 🐍💫

Ever wonder why CAMP feels safer than most festivals?

Well, there are a lot of reasons: For starters, our community is amazing. We stay invite-only to protect the vibe. We put our values above our bottom line.

But also, it’s cuz CAMP is run by women. Figuratively (with many of our design leads and core crew being fierce women who guide everything from the aesthetic to the culture). And also literally, with our cadre of badass babes who hold s**t down behind the scenes.

So here’s to our all-ladies operations squad.

The ones who do the dirty work of which you get to remain blissfully unaware as you frolic your way across Rambelwood in a blissful stupor, ignorant of the countless fires they’re putting out around you at basically all times.

The ones who lug sandbags across the campground to save the bridge from sinking just before dawn. Who move thousands of pounds of firewood from blocking the effigy. Who deal with the cops when they come to the gate (yes, while wearing a little black dress and cowboy boots, with a bottle of mezcal in hand).

The ones who rescue the rest of our staff’s golf carts when they’re stuck in the mud. Who bring us back to life after a seemingly endless streak of 18-hour days with a cup of their own French press coffee, knowing the brown garbage water from the cafeteria does literally nothing. Who save our asses from literally every dumb thing we ever do. And then tell us we’re doing great afterwards. (We’re gonna choose to believe they’re not just saying that).

And yes, they’ll also dazzle you with fire at the effigy. And fiddle you into a tizzy at The Hootenanny.  And cook you a pie from their pop-up BDSM-themed pizza joint.

This year we’re excited to add our first man to the ops team in three years.

Zach, we believe in you. Don’t ever let anyone tell you you’re not strong enough to do a woman’s job.
