Through its versed use of spaces, the new complex brings exciting and new events to the Brooklyn Downtown scene. The dazzling Tillary Lobby offers the perfect scene to those who don’t mind being in the spotlight. The Theater, The J Lounge and the soon to open adjacent Courtyard open a world of possibilities for events ranging from an intimate setup to networking and socializing at a cocktail party

. The Theater Complex is located inside City Tech’s New Academic Building located at 285 Jay Street, on the SE corner of Jay St. & Tillary St. During events, the entrance located only steps away at 275 Jay Street serves as access point, allowing for an individualized guest arrival experience.

We were pleased to host the 2026 NYS Oversight Conference to the Theater at City Tech.

Hosted by the NYC Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) as part of the NYS Oversight Consortium, the conference brought together attendees from across New York State for discussions focused on civilian oversight, police accountability, and transparency.
