This week, the world lost a truly remarkable person. The New Work Project and The Annex lost a great friend and partner.
Mario Rivera first became part of our community as a member of The New Work Project. Later, through his company, MR. HOSPITALITY, he became our hospitality partner at The Annex, working alongside us from 2023 until the beginning of this year.
Mario brought immense creativity, experience and expertise to everything he did. His attention to detail was extraordinary, and his professionalism unwavering. But above all, Mario was a kind, generous, decent and deeply honest human being. At a time when those qualities can sometimes feel increasingly rare, Mario embodied them completely. He was, quite simply, one of the genuine good guys.
To Mario’s family, friends, colleagues and industry partners: we are holding you in our thoughts through this impossibly sad time and sending you our love and strength.
And to Mario: we will miss you incredibly, but we will never forget you. We will never forget your warmth, your kindness or that huge, unforgettable smile. 🤍
