Meet Lillian Chun, the talented artist behind Disassociations.

Disassociations
A solo exhibition by Lillian Chun
Patricia Barland Gallery I May 16-June 14, 2026

Blending painting, sculpture, and photography, Disassociations by Artist Lillian Chun, explores the tension between stillness and overwhelm. Using found objects, remnants of photographic prints, fabric, old paintings, 3D printed pieces and intuitive mark-making, these layered pieces reflect on the psychological residue of burnout and the invisible labor that often consumes women’s inner worlds.

Inspiring creativity, curiosity, and joy through Mini Makers ✨

At CAC, we believe anyone can be an artist—especially our youngest creators. We love creating spaces where kids can explore, imagine, and make from an early age.

Ceramics at CAC offers a space to slow down and focus through making. Get lost in the sound of the wheel and the feel of the clay as it moves through your hands, shaping and shifting with each touch. It’s a hands-on practice that helps you step away from everything else and stay present in the process of creating.

Watching young artists explore, play, and connect through CAC’s Discovery program with Annapolis Symphony Academy is a reminder of how important accessible arts experiences are for our community. We’re proud to create spaces where creativity can grow from such an early age and where families can experience the joy of the arts together.

Light: Chesapeake Arts Center’s 25th Anniversary Exhibition ✨

Now accepting submissions for Light, an exhibition exploring light as both medium and concept—including work that responds to UV/blacklight. Eligible works can include paintings using fluorescent acrylics, neon or glow-in-the-dark paints, and invisible UV-reactive inks that reveal hidden imagery; drawings using highlighters, neon pencils, or oil pastels; and sculpture or mixed media using materials like neon tape, beads, yarn, reflective surfaces, or air-dry clay with fluorescent finishes. Installation or immersive work that transforms under blacklight is also encouraged.

This exhibition celebrates visibility and transformation—inviting artists to explore how light reveals what is often unseen and reshapes how we experience art.

Applications are open now—link in bio. Deadline: May 29, 2026.
