Entertaining isn’t always about the farm or hosting an event. It’s simply how we live. From choosing a tablescape theme and planning the menu to mixing cocktails and adding all those little finishing touches, there’s so much enjoyment in bringing it all together.

But the best part is welcoming friends and family around the table for good food, laughter, and great company. That’s what hospitality is all about.

Meet La Luna, having her moment in the morning sunshine. Another variety purchased from Swan Island Dahlias and planted in 2025, dug up, separated and pre sprouted April 2026. The new sprout was then planted in our upper garden raised bed in late July, and she’s certainly shining in October.

Typically, large dahlia blooms aren’t our go-to for florals because they can weigh the plant down, but with proper netting and staking, after this first bloom is finished, there are several more ready to appear, front and center.

The sun rises in the east.. hitting just right on these gorgeous Maarn dahlias while the autumn morning fog still sits low on the farm.
