Last month, we gathered at the Oregon Contemporary art space to celebrate the 2023 Hallie Ford Fellows: Rick Silva, sidony o'neal and Lisa Jarrett (shown left to right).

Reuniting Hallie Ford Fellows past and present, the event held space to reflect on visual arts in Oregon, its community and visions for the year ahead.

The Hallie Ford Fellowships in the Visual Arts honor the legacy of the late Hallie E. Ford, co-founder of The Ford Family Foundation, who had a lifelong interest in supporting the visual arts. Each year, we award up to three $35,000 unrestricted fellowships to promising visual artists in Oregon.

Our next call for applications will open in January 2024. We invite you to learn more about our visual arts program at tfff.org/visual-arts.

FEATURED SPONSOR: Insider of Southern Oregon

The Insider of Southern Oregon is a local entertainment newspaper started by Captain Curry himself (Bruce Ellis) back in 2009! The Insider was started as a way to help shine a light on the performing arts in our area and help tell people about all of the incredible arts events happening.

All of Bruce's positive feedback from the Insider led him to help start a local renaissance festival. It was soon clear that the festival's Pirate Weekend gathered the biggest crowds, so Bruce - along with Mike Moran(Captain Squishee) - started the Pirates of the Pacific Festival - Brookings, Oregon!

Years later, the Insider of Southern Oregon would expand into its own radio program, The Insider Report, on a local radio station, KCIW 100.7FM. Currently, the Insider Report is hosted by Bruce Ellis and Kat Liddell.

Thank you so much to Bruce and the Insider of Southern Oregon for your support and sponsorship of the first ever Wild Rivers Film Festival!

We'll see you next year!
