We have 49th Great Pershing Balloon Derby event t-shirts left and they are currently on sale at NCM Graphics located in downtown Brookfield. We have lowered the prices so come in and check out the selective sizes and colors to choose from! The colors are Indigo and Coral – see picture below. A great big THANK YOU to all the Sponsors, Pilots, Officials, Crew and Landowners for making the 49th Great Pershing Balloon Derby a wonderful success! A very special THANK YOU to Ferrellgas for their corporate sponsorship! We really could not do this without their support! We also want to give a big THANK YOU to those who paid the minimal fee of $3 per person at the Launch Field or bought the Weekend Pass to support the event. We count on gate receipts to keep the event going. The weather wasn't very cooperative but we were able to get 2 flights off. Our Saturday night was a great show for the crowd, watching balloons launch, land, fly over and glow!! We were also successful in giving you a show with our South Main Night Flame on Friday Night! We hope to see all of you back next year for the 50th Great Pershing Balloon Derby!!!!

Due to instability in the atmosphere and showers in the area, this morning's flight has been cancelled. Hope to see you at the Launch Site for this evening's activities. Gates open at 4pm.

The 49th Great Pershing Ballon Derby is underway!! Look up this morning to see the colorful sky!! The balloons should be flying over the city to the west, northwest here shortly!!

The Launch Site for the Great Pershing Balloon Derby is pet friendly however there are stipulations:

You are responsible for the actions of your dog.
You must have your dog on a leash.
You must pick up after your dog.
Remember the Launch Field is a hay field; there is very little shade and no running water so prepare accordingly.
The balloons are noisy when the pilots hit the burners. If your dog does not like loud noises or crowds, please reconsider.

The Great Pershing Balloon Derby is looking for a 12 or 14 foot enclosed trailer we could borrow to use this weekend for our souvenirs. We would need it Thursday evening through Monday afternoon. Please message here if you happen to know of one that is available. Thank you in advance!
