Ceres Film Festival

Ceres Film Festival The Ceres Food Film Festival (CFFF, formerly known as Faces of Hunger) is an annual event dedicated to exploring the complexity of food systems worldwide.

The Ceres Food Film Festival is a global platform that promotes food sustainability by driving awareness and engagement, culminating in an annual film festival. Ceres is a global platform that promotes food sustainability by driving awareness and engagement, culminating in an annual film festival. We are building a global community of storytellers that values and champions a sustainable, integrati

ve, and curious approach to our shared food ecosystem. CFFF was created by Palms for Life Fund, a NYC-based non-profit that works globally with organizations on the ground to provide access to food, water, education, and sanitation. We have set up mobile libraries for underserved children in Ecuador, brought literacy to women farmers in Burkina Faso, and built toilets in Nicaragua to improve school sanitation. With a grant from the European Union, we are now providing sustainable, quality services to the most vulnerable children in Swaziland. Learn more via: https://www.palmsforlifefund.org/

Still going through the incredible shots from Ceres X 🌿

We’re so grateful we returned to MOFAD’s space for such a special evening of film, food, and conversation with , , and .

We screened Arepas en Bici (preview), following as he cycles through San Francisco sharing Venezuelan traditions; Birria Landia, a look into the Moreno brothers’ journey bringing Puebla’s flavors to Queens; and Yantar (Eat) by , where Ana reflects on how what we eat shapes who we are.

From NYC to California and beyond, these stories celebrated migration, memory, and the ways food keeps us connected to home.

Before Earth Day comes to a close 🌎

We’re revisiting one of the films from our Season 10 retrospective: (dir. Trevor Dixon Bennett and ). A story that invites us to reflect not only on the future of our planet, but on the knowledge we carry forward, rooted in the wisdom of those who came before us.

Through her journey, Leigh Joseph (Styawat) reconnects with her identity and ancestral territory through plant knowledge, reminding us that these relationships are living, evolving, and meant to be honored every day.

There are still a few hours left to watch the film in our virtual screening room — link in bio.

And stay tuned as we continue sharing the Ceres Collection: a curated archive of films, accessible anytime, anywhere via our YouTube channel 🌱
