This post is to honor the life and service of Mike Wills, who along with his wonderful wife,Carol, were an integral part of the success of Sodafest thru its entirety of 8 years of bringing people together thru music, food, friendship and charity.
It took many volunteers to make Sodafest a reality and Mike and Carol were a crucial part of the puzzle to bring it all together. As owners of Hawg Heaven and Mike Wills Electric, they were with us from the very beginning Sodafest in 2012 and thru the last Sodafest in 2019. 8 years of service and commitment! Mike and Carol not only served our fans, they also fed all of our bands at their expense! Mike also wired our stage and vending areas on his own dime and spent countless extra hours of his time making sure our bands, sound and light crew, and vendors had plenty of power and when we ever had a problem, like an occasional power surge or power loss,he would literally sprint from working his ass off in the concession trailer to the power boxes to make sure our bands didn’t lose a beat! There were a few years when Hawg Heaven would barely break even and even lose money at Sodafest but even those years Mike and Carol would still always make a generous cash donation to the charity! Their integrity and character shines throughout the surrounding communities in all they have done! We are forever grateful to Mike and Carol. We miss you dearly Mike! Thank you and Godspeed our friend, until we meet again and may God comfort Carol and all of your family and friends at this time and always ❤️
A celebration of life for Mike Wills will be held on Saturday and Sunday,September 9-10,1-6pm at Fellowship Hall 422 W Deffenbaugh St. Kokomo,In 46902
