🌧️ GCR UPDATE — ROADS STILL NOT SAFE FOR ACCESS 🌧️

We know everyone is ready to get back to the beach — and trust us, so are we! 🏖️

Unfortunately, after checking our access roads, they are still too wet and muddy to safely handle vehicle traffic. For that reason, Gulf Coast Resort and Bridge City Beach will remain CLOSED until conditions improve.

We know it’s frustrating, especially when the sun may be shining and the weather looks great everywhere else. But the condition of our access roads is what determines whether we can safely open.

❤️ Thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We truly appreciate you sticking with us while Mother Nature gives us a little extra challenge.

We’ll continue checking the roads and will post an update as soon as we can safely welcome everyone back.

🚨 WE ARE CLOSED TODAY! 🚨

Well… that rain came in and made the decision for us. 🌧️

The rain that just moved through has left the Gulf Coast Resort access roads unsafe for traffic, so we are CLOSING THE PARK FOR THE REMAINDER OF TODAY.

We sincerely apologize, especially to everyone who was already planning their day at Bridge City Beach. We hate making a last-minute closure, but your safety and the safety of our staff come first.

⚠️ Please do not attempt to access the park today.

We’ll let the roads dry out, keep an eye on conditions, and update everyone as soon as we can.

⚠️ ROAD CONDITIONS UPDATE — WE ARE OPEN! 🏖️🌴

The recent rain has left the access roads into Gulf Coast Resort / Bridge City Beach muddy, but that’s NOT stopping us from opening! ☀️🏖️

🌴 GULF COAST RESORT — OPEN

If you’re heading our way today, we strongly recommend coming in a truck, SUV, 4WD, or another vehicle capable of handling muddy conditions. Please use your best judgment before attempting the access roads.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Gulf Coast Resort does not have the equipment available to pull or tow vehicles that become stuck in the mud. If your vehicle gets stuck, we may not be able to assist with getting it out.

For our ATV riders… well, a little mud might just make things more interesting. 😎🏁💦

🌴 LABOR DAY UPDATE — ONE MORE NIGHT 🌴

We know a lot of you are waiting to hear whether Gulf Coast Resort will be open for Labor Day, and we apologize that we can’t give you a firmer answer tonight.

After the rain we’ve received, our biggest concern right now is giving our access roads one more night to dry out and making sure conditions are safe for everyone coming into the park.

We will check conditions first thing in the morning and make an announcement as soon as we can. ☀️🤞

We understand that people are trying to make Labor Day plans, and we truly appreciate your patience. But there is one thing we will not compromise on:

The safety of our guests and our staff comes before making money.

If we don’t believe the roads and park can be safely accessed, we simply won’t take that risk. If conditions improve enough overnight, though, we’re hoping to welcome everyone back for some Labor Day fun at Gulf Coast Resort! 🏖️🏍️🌊

Well… Mother Nature wins this round. 😞

Due to the rain and current conditions, Gulf Coast Resort — including Bridge City Beach and the ATV Park — will be CLOSED Sunday.

But we’re not giving up on Labor Day Monday yet! 🤞☀️

We’ll be watching the weather and park conditions closely and are still hopeful we can OPEN MONDAY and salvage some Labor Day fun! 🏖️🏍️🌴

Please keep an eye on our page for the latest update before making the trip.

🚨 UPDATE: GULF COAST RESORT IS CLOSING FOR TODAY 🚨

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans.

The rain that just moved through has left our access roads muddy and unsafe for vehicle traffic. After checking conditions, we’ve made the difficult decision to CLOSE Gulf Coast Resort and Bridge City Beach for the remainder of today.

We know many of you were looking forward to spending your Saturday with us, and we sincerely apologize for the last-minute change. We were hoping to stay open, but the safety of our guests, employees, and vehicles has to come first.

🌧️ If you were planning to visit today, please do not attempt to access the park.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of Gulf Coast Resort. We’ll keep everyone updated as conditions improve.

Bigfoot has officially taken over weather watch at Gulf Coast Resort… and right now, he has ONE request:

🌧️ PLEASE. NO. MORE. RAIN. TONIGHT. 😂

We’re watching the weather and hoping Mother Nature gives us the break we need. If she cooperates, we’re looking to be OPEN this Labor Day Weekend! 🏖️🏍️

That means Bridge City Beach, ATV trails, sunshine, and one more big holiday weekend of fun at Gulf Coast Resort!

🌴 LABOR DAY WEEKEND WEATHER UPDATE 🌴

We’re keeping a close eye on the tropical weather and monitoring the forecast as Labor Day weekend approaches. 🌧️🌀

Right now, we’re hopeful Gulf Coast Resort will be able to OPEN for Labor Day Weekend and give everyone one more big weekend of beach, trails, sunshine, and fun! 🏖️🏍️☀️

Of course, the safety of our guests, employees, and community comes first. We’ll continue watching conditions and will post updates as we know more.
