Throwback Thursday 🐦❤️
Throwing it back to this bold and beautiful cardinal mural by Helena Martin !
Helena’s work brought color and character to the streets of the Texas Arts & Music Festival, but her impact went beyond the mural itself. 🎨✨ During Art Education Day, Helena also spent time with local students, sharing her creative process and helping inspire the next generation of artists.
That’s what TAMF is all about: bringing incredible art into the community, connecting artists with people, and creating opportunities for everyone to experience the creative process firsthand.
We’re proud to look back at the artists, murals, and moments that have helped make TAMF special. ❤️
Who remembers Helena’s cardinal? 🐦

✨ Throwback Thursday ✨
Today we're looking back at Seeing Double, an unforgettable mural by artist Chad Eaton that brought bold color, playful energy, and larger-than-life character to the Texas Arts & Music Festival.
Known for his distinctive style and imaginative storytelling, Chad transformed a blank wall into a vibrant work of public art that continues to capture attention and inspire creativity. Seeing Double became more than a mural. It became a landmark, a photo backdrop, and a reminder of how art can transform a space and connect a community.
We're grateful for the incredible artists who have helped shape TAMF's public art legacy over the years and can't help but smile when revisiting this fan favorite.

Before there were amplifiers, there was Blind Willie Johnson.
This unforgettable mural paid tribute to the Texas-born blues and gospel pioneer whose music influenced generations of artists and musicians.
We're taking a look back at some of the remarkable public art created through the Texas Arts & Music Festival and celebrating the stories that continue to resonate long after the paint has dried.
