For those of you who don't know how we operate.....every year we must raise funds to support our Service To Others Programs. The Service To Others Program is three Categories; Education/Nutrition/Childcare; Outreach Repair Service; and Health and Well Being. This year in particular, we need to formally expand and implement the Health and Well Being Center to accommodate the increasing needs.
Education, Nutrition, and Childcare Services help adults to change their lives into positive, meaningful habits and mindsets. We believe that starting children on the right path with education and nutrition will help to create an environment of healthier, happier, more productive adults for the future, thereby breaking the chain of hopelessness.
Every year, there are disabled, elderly, or people in need due to circumstances, that can’t make necessary repairs such as leaking roofs, plumbing, or whatever the problem/issue may be to their living spaces or repairs to their disability devices. The Outreach Repair Services does this willingly with no charge to the recipient.
We take a holistic , affordable, high-quality care approach to deliver safe Health and Well Being Services to disabled, elderly, or people in need due to circumstances. We excel in the art and science of health care by encompassing health, relationships, security, purpose, community, and environment into each patient’s health care needs.
We have put on SolFest every year for the last seven years to help raise monies to support these services. This year, we put $130,000 into SolFest with the intent of it doubling (if not tripling) to build the Center. It was not for the lack of trying most certainly. We put $10,000 just in advertising. Unfortunately, we did not see participation from the community and lots of vendors left on Friday because we weren't seeing the community participation. That was beyond our control. We are now $126,758 in the hole.
We have a line of credit due now which is $90,000 and a commitment of $60,000 for the Health and Well Being Center. To help meet this need, we started a GoFundMe account. https://www.gofundme.com/f/service-to-others-programs
