"Meg and I started this festival because Breckenridge wanted our help — but mostly because we thought it would be fun. And it was a blast.
Back then, we couldn't have imagined that 45 years later it would still be here, still thriving, and become such a central part of Meg's legacy.
Through every season we worked together, she was the definition of grace under fire. Calm. Composed. Steady. She had a gift for bringing people together — not by demanding it, but by making everyone feel like they belonged and had something worth giving.
Meg believed it takes a village. She lived that belief quietly and powerfully, every single year.
She was my steady presence, my partner in building something that mattered, and my "bestest" friend.
