Each Wednesday, we’ll be sharing an important tip to help providers stay informed, compliant, and prepared. This week’s tip focuses on the importance of Rules & Regulations!

The State of Florida has provided Assisted Living Facilities and Adult Family Care Homes with regulations to ensure the health, safety, & wellbeing of the residents. It is imperative that facilities and homes follow the rules and regulations.

We had an unexpected visit today by members of the Florida Assisted Living Association. They took time to get a picture with Kimberly Watkins who just received her Publix 30 year Recognition Award.

We had a great "Raise the fence" day at New Horizons this past Saturday. I want to thank all the volunteers both young and really old. It was a lot of fun, sweat, and gratification to see the old fence removed and the grass and weeds removed. Also want to thank Storms Landscaping that removed a good portion of the fence.

New Horizons Group Homes was recognized by Hillsborough County for its 25 years of service to the residents. Commissioner Michael Owen presented the proclamation. Tampa City Councilman Luis Viera was also on hand for the presentation. It was Luis's father, Juan Viera, that built the Alice Storms home. New Horizons Group Homes would not be where we are today without the support of the Brandon community and the financial support of our many contributors. Congressman Vern Buchanan also sent a letter recognizing New Horizons Group Homes achievement.
