Braintree 357 Gravel Enduro

Braintree 357 Gravel Enduro Circus Ride route Sunday, 10/8/2023! Sign up today on BikeReg 🎪 The Braintree 5 originated as just a fun local ride with friends. Next year will be amazing.

Then it morphed into a MTB enduro format gravel grinder race. It blends elements of a social group ride with the competitive race option for those that want to prove themselves in the mountains. The timed King of the Mountain race segments throughout the course are optional for riders. We want this format to appeal to many different riders from across the north east and beyond. NEXT YEAR......

“Happy almost spring everyone! As the seasons change, so does life. Change is necessary to improve, thrive, and expand your horizons.
Since 2016, I have taken great pride in shaping the Braintree 357 into small, intimate cycling
event that celebrates community as much as it does cycling. Through those years I’ve met so many amazing people, some will be friends for life. I am grateful to you each and everyone of you that have participated in the Braintree 357 over the years!
In addition to all the cyclists, events take a TON of energy to put on. I always had a handful of amazing friends that helped put these events on, and to them I am eternally grateful for their support! Also thank you to the Braintree historical Society for allowing me to host the event at the Meeting house for the last few years (& Ayers Brook Goat Dairy, & Town of Randolph before that).

“Oh no, is he closing it?” You may be thinking…NOPE! I am excited to announce I am handing over the reins to our Braintree friends & crazy die-hard cyclist Sean and Brooke Curran. Together they run Another Jaunt LLC and are really stoked to continue the event into the years to come! I have no doubt they will successfully build upon what I’ve started and I can’t wait to see what they do! Heck now I can ride in it too!! 😂

So with that please welcome Sean and Brooke (AND Fred!!) as they will be steering this bike down the gravel road now! Much love to you all & thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ Zac Freeman

Here is a great recap of the Circus Ride from the guys at Green Mountain Gravel! Thanks for being a part of the day & for the awesome video. What a great day filled with happy bike loving people! Thank you all!
Also a huge shoutout to visionary and dedicated biker Paul Rea for creating this route in the mid 90’s! His continued efforts to help the sport grow has helped transform Randolph into what you see today. We are forever grateful Paul, thank you!
A big thank you to all of our sponsors and rocking awesome volunteers that supported this years event. We couldn’t have done it without you all! 🙌🏼

Have you been to Bent Hill Brewery yet? Last night we were treated to a stellar sunset while sipping our favorite Blood Orange DIPA and nibbling on some tasty food!

You have to make it up there. Mike Czok, Chelsie Brown, Michael Epchook, and Eben Brock are absolutely crushing it! They have put in so much hard work to make the brewery a wonderful place to go!

We are stoked to have our friends at Bent Hill joining us at the Circus Ride, on Oct 10th. They will be serving up their Blood Orange, maybe some Coconut porter, or even the Tiny Red House. They make so many good beers it doesn't really matter what they bring. You will enjoy your first beer on us with your registration.

Did you know….back in the early 1900’s the circus traveled from Randolph to Rochester, and back over the Randolph Gap?!? Elephants pulled the wagons to the ridge then switched to behind them to ease them down the steep road. So crazy!! This snip-it is from The Tale of 2 Hollows. 🐘
The Circus Ride sends you up and over Randolph Gap and was named after the adventures of the circus itself. There will be no elephants to help tow you up the mountain! 😂
