Chaunces returns to Bradenton this Sunday April 19 from Noon - 5 PM for the at

Florida drummer and composer Chance Reynolds possesses a diverse list of musical influences, including jazz, hip hop, funk, rock, and electronic music, to form his progressive sound, most notably recognized in Chaunces, his project consisting of original compositions, with full instrumentation and vocals.
Featuring Cooper Madden on bass, and Eric Zabala on vibraphone, the Chance Reynolds Trio takes a step in a new, fully instrumental direction, paying homage to jazz and funk traditions, while holding space for a more modern, experimental sound.

“I create whimsical miniature wearable ocean-themed dioramas that transform everyday objects into tiny, joyful worlds you can carry with you. By repurposing vintage toys, local shells, antique costume jewelry, and other found treasures, I build small wearable stories filled with sparkle, surprise, and personality.
Each piece begins with an intuitive process — layering resin, mica, glitter, paper scraps, miniature figures, photographs, and natural elements like ancient seashells or tiny pinecones. I title every work according to the unique spirit I sense within it, often resulting in poetic, humorous, or delightfully irreverent names that capture its essence.
My Disco Mermaid pieces celebrate hope, positivity, and playful wonder. By turning these tiny dioramas into wearable art, I aim to share that lighthearted energy with everyone who encounters them. Wearing one is like carrying a little pocket of ocean magic and optimism into the world — a sparkling reminder that beauty and joy can be found in the most unexpected places.”

“My name is Ariel Rowe and I’m a digital artist, who edits photos, based in Palmetto. I design clothing and bags as well.

‘I hope you find home in my art,’ is phrase I keep in mind while I work. With my art, I always try to create pieces that evoke the warm feeling of home, instilling a sense of nostalgia and belonging.”

Meet the Artist: Jay Rivera - Witch’s Craft
Friendly City Art Festival. April 19 from Noon - 5 PM
at

“My name is Jay Rivera and I created Witch’s Craft around 2018 by deciding to follow a dream after years of experimenting with jewelry making with my grandma. I picked up clay as my main medium because of the many different things I can create with it also the many Art techniques I can apply to it. I grew up surrounded by women who love to adorn themselves with lots of earrings and necklaces and have always been enamored and I love making jewelry because my designs help them do just that. I take inspiration from my Puerto Rican culture, fashion, dance, music and nature. I create every piece by hand so every piece is unique and in crafting i always set the intention and focus on making, whomever wears my work, feel like art.”

Meet the Artist: Sapphic Sundries
Friendly City Art Festival. April 19 from Noon - 5 PM

“Sapphic Sundries is a q***r mixed-media artist who works primarily with sustainable, vintage materials sourced from magazines, newspapers, and thrifted goods. With a flair for portraying the raw human experience, they explore dark themes and bring them to light by incorporating pieces of their past into the art they create today.
They draw inspiration from their late best friend, who loved collaging and creating alongside those closest to her. Sapphic Sundries is excited to collaborate with Friendly City Festival, bringing an immersive and creative collage experience to the community.”
