Elsa Elliot shared this very sad news yesterday about Maureen. She had been one of our fabulous readers for many years at the Magickal Marketplace.

The memorial service plans for Maureen O'Brien have been finalized. Her obituary will be shared later.
A memorial service for Maureen will be held on Saturday October 4 at 12:30 pm (guests can begin arriving at 12:00 noon) at the Fellowship Hall at First Parish Church of Stow & Acton Unitarian Universalist, On the common at the intersection of Rts. 117 & 62, 353 Great Road, Stow, MA 01775.
Light refreshments will be provided after the service and space to visit until 4 pm.
Please feel free to wear something that is purple or pink, as those were Maureen’s favorite colors.
We will be offering a Zoom link for the service for those who cannot attend in person. If you wish to receive the Zoom link, please send an email to [email protected]
In accordance with Maureen’s wishes, the scattering of her ashes will be happen at a later date on Cape Cod.

Hey everyone! Beth here, and another successful Magickal Marketplace & Psychic Faire is now over, and it’s time for me to say my thank yous to everyone.

I always take a few days to rest, recover, and gather my thoughts before doing this, in hopes that I won’t forget anyone or anything… yet I always do, so please forgive me if I forget something. I tried to tag everyone, but that wasn't possible.

First, I want to thank all of the patrons who bought tickets and attended the event. We do this event for you, and we hope you enjoyed the event! We hope you will spread the word and come again next year.

I would like to say thank you to Zabel for once again putting together an amazing dance show, and thank you to ALL of the dancers who shared their dancing visions with us. Many of the performances put me in tears, and it truly amazes me the beauty of what you all do.

I want to thank Jenna Greene for all of her performances and workshop during the event. We love your music, and we really appreciate your support of this event. It was lovely to see Sairys join you on stage as well!

I want to thank Dave Drumhead Curry for the fabulous Drum Circle and drum workshop! It’s always fun to sit and play the drums with you!

Saturday and Sunday there are just too many people to thank. I want to thank all of the workshop presenters, sharing your knowledge with everyone, helping to educate people. I heard so many good things about all of the workshops, and from what I can tell, most of the workshops were well attended. Char Willingham, Irena Caouette & Val Stormcrow, Sha Blackburn, Dr. Adhi Two-Owls, WrenTek Kerne MacGowan, Matooka Moonbear, Willow Violet, Suzanne Routhier, Kate Holly-Clark, J. C. Artemisia, Bruce Hoskins, Kirk White, Diana Harris, Ed Flaherty, Dawn Hunt, Sophia Kelly Shultz, Marcia Conlon, and CoyoteSky Woman.

I also want to thank all of the musicians who graced our main stage in the vendor room. We love having you play for us and fill the room with music during the day while people are shopping. Justin Hunt, Keira Curtis, Zabel and the ZaBellies, Peter Janson, the LIARS, Untitl'd, and Frankie.

A special thank you to Val & Irena Stormcrow and the Serenity Circle Coven for the Opening ritual, Closing Ritual, Main Ritual, and 2 workshops. Members of the coven also stepped up and volunteered to help run the event. We appreciate your support.

Another special thank you to Frenchy & the Punk for their fabulous performance at our Divination themed Masquerade Ball. They really rocked the party! Scott Helland also did a set on the Main Stage to close out the show on Sunday.

A huge thank you goes to our special guest speaker, Christopher Penczak, who came and spent the entire weekend with us. He taught three workshops, participated in the panel discussion, and was one of the judges at the masquerade ball. He was a joy to work with, and I believe everyone enjoyed his classes and having him with us!

I want to thank all of the vendors, readers, and service people who shared their talents with us. I hope you all did well! We loved having all of you with us. You are the heart and soul of the event!

And as you know, an event like this has a lot of moving parts, and requires a lot of people to work the event. We want to thank all of the volunteers that helped run admissions, helped with the vendors, helped with reader sign up, and did security. We could not do this without you. Thank you!

And last, but certainly never least, I want to thank the MMPF Planning Committee, Jeffrey Wade, Catherine Postier, Deb Jarvis, Marni Nispel, Cassie Washington, and Raffi Passanissi. This core team does all the work throughout the year to plan the MMPF and make it happen! Such an awesome team! Thank you all!!!

And now the work on the MMPF 2026 begins! See you next year!
