Warren County Public Library will host Governor Andy Beshear at the Capitol Tuesday, September 29, for a hopeful conversation about reclaiming faith as a force for good and healing a divided nation through shared values. Centered around his new book, Go and Do Likewise: How We Heal a Broken Country, Governor Beshear will share stories of healing, justice, forgiveness, welcoming, and moral clarity. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will go through a brief security screening upon arrival.
Additionally, due to unprecedented interest in this event, we are excited to offer an outdoor overflow viewing option, allowing even more members of our community to experience Governor Beshear’s talk. A large digital screen will be located on the College Street side of Fountain Square Park, directly outside the Capitol, where the event will be streamed live. Attendees are welcome to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the program from the park. The outdoor stream will be available rain or shine, though cancellation may occur in the case of an extreme weather event.
NOTE: Registration for this free event helps us plan for attendance but does not guarantee a seat inside the venue. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees hoping to sit inside the Capitol are encouraged to arrive early. 500 free pre-signed copies of Go and Do Likewise will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional copies will be available for purchase after the event. There will not be a meet-and-greet or personalized book signing following the program.
